Mark 5:21-43,
Mark has intertwined two stories in this Gospel. The message they hold in common is in verse 36, “Do not be afraid; just have faith.” The official trusts in Jesus’ power even though he knows his daughter is already dead. The woman pushes through her fear and touches Jesus. Both are rewarded.
We pray for all limited by their circumstances and their fear that they find confidence and courage to open themselves to the healing power of Jesus Christ.
Caritas Zambia is a Catholic Organisation that is an integral structure of the Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops (ZCCB). The Conference of Bishops is a permanent grouping of Bishops of a given nation or territory that jointly exercises certain pastoral functions on behalf of the Christian faithful of their territory.
