Matthew 14:13-21:
Jesus hears of John’s death and knows that his time draws near. He needs to get away but cannot escape the crowds. So be it. Jesus continues to care for the people’s needs, physical and spiritual. With only five loaves and two fish and the support of the disciples all 5,000 men, women and children are fed.
For us, the celebration of the Eucharist makes present the past and future, your self-sacrifice and the eternal banquet. Alleluia!
Caritas Zambia is a Catholic Organisation that is an integral structure of the Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops (ZCCB). The Conference of Bishops is a permanent grouping of Bishops of a given nation or territory that jointly exercises certain pastoral functions on behalf of the Christian faithful of their territory.
